We, as a family, are a construction of what we feel it means to be a Warren. As we live out our daily existence we do so remembering those we have left behind, we are going to visit, and those we love. By answering in full, we are a Warren, we indicate the existence of a family lineage, one we have chosen to carry on in our son and daughter. It is our uniqueness and individual experience we look forward to sharing with you.
I think it was a mid 80's to early 90's show that had an afterschool special feel to it and I always really liked it. So imagine my surprise when I was flipping channels on Sunday to find Degrassi High the Next Generation! I'll have to see if I can find it again this weekend. Afterall I have to find out what happens to the girl who was flaunting her blue thong to gain popularity and gave up her true friends to suit her new ego. Ooooooooo!!!!!
Mt. Vernon
I-5 surrounded by floodwaters of the chehalis River. This stretch of I-5 usually sees 55,000 vehicles a day, 10,000 of them trucks, and it was cut off to all transit.
Everything came together beautifully; Pomegranite Molasses Glazed Cornish Game Hens with Pomegranite Pilaf, fresh bread from the bread maker, creamed spinich, and fresh apple pie for dessert. Ok, so the hens had to go back in the oven one more time but as far as my dinner-served-late track record goes dinner was pretty much on time and that rocked. What rocked even more was that Padon went down for a nap right when dinner was ready and we got to eat uninterrupted and no delicious food was thrown on the floor.
Last year Padon was only 6 months old and couldn't be a part of the Jingle Bell Run and I couldn't wait until this year to see him in the children's run. As soon as I saw it advertised in November I signed Padon up for the Run With the Elves run; a run for kids 8 and younger that has a route of one city block; down 6th ave, by Westlake Mall, in Seattle.
It was a little much for Padon. He didn't smile at all, just looked straight faced as his eyes slowly weld with tears. At the end of the ride I had him in my arms as we talked about the colors of the horses and how this carousel was like the little one Grandma had at her house. May be next year it will seem more fun.
After the carousel I remembered I had the Christmas ribbon in my pocket that I was going to put around Padon for the race. I tied it around his waist and he could have cared less and couldn't have been any more adorable.
